So terrible and shocking. I’ve liked him for many years. Sad he lost his decades long battle with drugs. Caught him on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson a couple years ago. They talked about his stage work a little bit. The guy, while laid-back, seemed so passionate about his work, about acting and directing and storytelling. Also, came off like an extremely down-to-earth and nice guy. Truly a great loss. R.I.P.
“He’s a local. He’s a fixture in this neighborhood,” said Christian McCulloch, 39, who said that he lives nearby. “You see him with his kids in the coffee shops, he is so sweet. It’s desperately sad.”
At a short distance from the crowd, two men who identified themselves as friends embraced, sobbing.

Sad indeed.
