This blog (formally known as The Artistic Packrat) is an exhibit for everything I love about film and television.
On this site, you’ll find reviews and opinion pieces about movies and TV from the beginnings of silent film or the small-screened start to home televised programming that first started in the 40s and 50s to the most current releases and shows on the air. I also cover books and other media that have to do with film and television. I try my best to post one at least once a week. I have a few series. One is “And the Oscar Goes to,” where I strive to review every Best Picture Oscar winner. Another is my weekly series, “Mini-Review Monday,” where I post a short, bite sized review of a movie or television show every week. Also there’s my second weekly series “Queued in Fridays.” It’s where I review the movies in my Netflix Queue in whatever order they happen to fall in. Finally, there’s an irregular series “Travels Through the Time Vortex,” which looks at a select number of Doctor Who stories from each classic Doctor.
I hoard everything film and television related with glee and love. Whatever your favorite era of either medium, I feature it here. I hope you’ll subscribe and enjoy what I have to share.
